The kg, meaning kilogram or kilogramme, is a unit of mass measurement. It is equal to 1000 g or 2.2 lb. In common usage, the kg is used to measure weight.
As many recipes have been crudely converted from one system to another, a similarly crude conversion back may yield the original recipe. Crude conversions are as follows:
